About us

Monsters of Loch Lomond is published by Key Card Games,  owned by Robin and Peter-Jan. They share a strong passion for hiking. During their summer trip in 2022, they tackled the famous West Highland Way, a 100-mile hiking trail that starts in Glasgow and ends in the Scottish Highlands. The beauty of Loch Lomond left an indelible mark on them and in a traditional inn by the lake, they came up with the idea of creating a card game that would capture the wild landscape and legendary stories surrounding the mystic Loch Lomond. That’s how their first successful game, Monsters of Loch Lomond, came to life.

What people are saying

Snippets from our reviews.

“This game is a resounding “YES!” from everyone in our family. Our daughter wants it to be one of the games we have at our wedding in October. It gave us levelled up love letters vibes.”

“You can play very seriously, but we just played to have fun! […] If you like card games with a nostalgic theme I can highly recommend Monsters of Loch Lomond.”

“This is a unique card game that’s easy to learn and quick to play. There’s a real sense of uncertainty, which turns into hilarity with hidden information. Not only are you trying to remember where certain cards are, but it’s so cunning and funny to send cards an opponent doesn’t want their way!”

“Forcing other players to not just memorise their cards but those of others & trying to effect that in a way that helps you & hinders them without becoming enemy number one. Is a balancing act that I loved.|”
